Rahul Jain - postdoc at the Plant Hormone Biology group of UvA - has been awarded with the Small Research Projects and Equipment Fund (£ 3000) from Applied Microbiology International (a UK based microbiology society) for internship project of postgraduate student Marit Krul (Supervisor: Lemeng Dong). This grant will enable setting up Oxford Nanopore sequencing facility in the group to characterize recruitment of chemotactic bacteria in the tomato rhizosphere in response to root exudation under N-deficiency.
