The highest award in Dutch academia, the Spinoza Prize, has been awarded to MiCRop principle investigator Toby Kiers!
She receives the award for her outstanding and inspiring research. The award, granted by the Dutch Research Council (NWO) to researchers working in the Netherlands that belong to the best researchers worldwide. Every researcher who is awarded receives 1.5 million Euro funding for their research.
Joyeeta Gupta and Toby Kiers receive this year's Spinoza Prize (focussing on research addressing fundamental issues); Bram Nauta and Corien Prins receive the Stevin Prize (recognition of the societal impact of their research).
